Chapter 1: The Disappearance

On December 22, 2023, Savannah Soto, an expectant mother, and her boyfriend, Matthew Guerra, aged 22, vanished without a trace. As Savannah was scheduled to be induced shortly after her disappearance, her family grew increasingly concerned when she did not attend her appointment.

When 18-year-old Savannah failed to show up, her family promptly reported her missing. Both families attempted to contact the couple but were unsuccessful. Eventually, Guerra's father took drastic measures by forcibly entering their apartment, only to find Savannah's hospital bag left behind, untouched.

Days later, on December 26, a neighbor's tip led police to Matthew Guerra's gray Kia Optimo, parked in the lot of the Colinas at Medical Apartment Complex. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered the couple's bodies inside the vehicle. Both had been shot in the head execution-style, with Matthew found in the backseat and Savannah in the front, a baby carrier resting on her.

Authorities estimated the couple
