Chapter 1: The Enigma of Linkin Bio

Who exactly is Linkin Bio? I find myself utterly baffled, and it seems no one is willing to enlighten me.

The term first came to my attention in 2021 when someone referred to me as “Linkin Bio.” To add insult to injury, they instructed me on what to do next. While watching a video, I heard, “Visit my website, Linkin Bio.” I knew of Linkin Park and Abe Lincoln—both notable figures in their own right, known for their contributions to society. However, while Linkin Park only circulated hundred-dollar bills, Lincoln had a more significant impact.

However, I soon realized I wasn’t the only one being referred to as Linkin Bio. It seemed everyone was mentioning some version of Linkin Bio, leaving me thoroughly perplexed.

I scoured the internet, hoping to uncover the identity of the “real” Linkin Bio, convinced someone had mistaken me for them. I even searched for “linkin bio real face,” but came up empty-handed.

In my determination, I shamelessly posted on forums and reached out to countless individuals, but all I received were mocking comments and laughter. It was reminiscent of that feeling from childhood when you were the only one playing with wooden toys while others were engrossed in Minecraft.

Feeling increasingly isolated, I ventured outside and began asking strangers, “Do you know who Linkin Bio is?” Unfortunately, their responses were more laughter and cryptic remarks like, “You’re hilarious. What’s your handle?”

Naturally, I had a witty comeback ready: “For my collar? I’m not a dog.”

Yet, the more ridicule I faced, the more I pondered whether I was onto something significant. It reminded me of a scene from Fight Club, where the protagonist inquires about “Tyler Durden,” who was, in fact, himself—his alternate persona.

So, I decided to take action. I snapped photos of myself, asking, “Is this the Linkin Bio you’re familiar with?” and posted them throughout San Francisco. Sadly, still no replies came my way.

By this point, I leaned into the absurdity of the situation, embracing my potential identity as the real Linkin Bio. I became the author of my own narrative, linking my website across my social media platforms, even putting it on Netflix. I began sharing posts that made it clear I, the genuine Linkin Bio, was now accessible online.

“I’m launching a fundraiser on my site to assist the underprivileged,” I declared as Linkin Bio in 2023.

Surprisingly, it began to gain traction. People started visiting my site, and I plastered it everywhere. Yet, even as I maintained my sense of self, I increasingly felt like Linkin Bio, as if embodying that persona was my true calling.

So, I pose this question to all of you: Am I, indeed, the real Linkin Bio?
